1) Brush your hair frequently

Brushing your hair regularly can help to distribute the natural oils of the hair and protect them from damage and add the extra luster. Brushing will also help to remove dead hair and dandruff. However, don’t use the plastic brush as they will bring static to the hair and damage it.


2) Change your diet

Make sure to eat at least 45 grams of protein every day for well-being. Healthy protein sources include lean meat, fish, beans, eggs, and poultry. Prevent hair loss by adding more Zinc to your diet through leafy vegetables and nuts such as walnuts, cashews, and almonds. Omega-3 fatty acids also stimulate hair follicles and improve scalp health. So, add in cereal, salmon, and flaxseed to your meals to get healthier hair.


3) Don’t over wash

Over-washing the hair will harm the scalp and remove the natural oils that protect and give the shine to the hair. Don’t wash your hair more than once a day to prevent hair loss. Treat the hair gently or brush your hair when it’s wet for it’s more fragile when it’s wet.


4) Choose the right shampoo and conditioner

Applying the wrong products will cause damage to the hair and scalp which leads to hair fall. Avoid shampoos with ingredients like ammonium lauryl sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate. Understand your hair type which ranged from oily, normal, or dry, and experiment with shampoos and conditioners that fit you the best.


5) Lower the heat

For healthier hair, minimize the use of a hairdryer or flat iron at a high temperature. Blow-dry using the lowest heat settings and air-dry your hair when it’s possible. Wear a hat when you go outdoors to prevent direct sunlight under the scorching sun in Malaysia.
